Legendarys....^^
|
bashmo
|
theres only palkia...and everyone uses at least 1 legend, i mean, i dropped my azelf in favour of alakazam(EV'd).
|
grant_brown
|
ya but palkia is a uber and you can't use ubers you can only use legendarys like azelf cresselia etc etc
you have to take palkia out
|
Phatkav
|
Take Palkia out.
Infernape needs his old useful moveset with Flamethrower instead of Fire Blast and Grass Knot instead of Flare Blitz.
Empoleon needs something such as Ice Beam, Grass Knot, Yawn with Surf.
Alakazam needs Focus Blast, Grass Knot/Energy Ball
That's it for now.
|
bashmo
|
ok for palkia im waiting to replace with dragonite or salamence. And grass knot on Infernape?? Wtf ok i have energy ball guess its going with Alakazam.

Well train Starly to get Staraptor and do this give it Wacan berry which weakens supereffective electric attacks you will survive next turn Brave Bird!
Well if you play Staraptor against some electric pokemon trainers will know something is up so make them summon electric pokemon against staraptor
|
bashmo
|
staraptor? uh dude F that [mod edit]. I have a fearow, and its perfectly fine.
|
Falkien
|
Staraptor owns Fearow Staraptor learns Close Combat which takes down rock, ground, and even pokemon like Blissey and Snorlax
|
grant_brown
|
grass knot for inferape so you can take out water pokes cause you are goign to be faster so you get the first attack off

Alakazam's a little too weak to be CMing. Future sight is a pretty crappy move. Is there a specific item you're tricking? Focus blast is good on Alakazam. Charge beam is a pretty good choice for increasing your special attack, if you use it as a finishing attack. (When hitting something with red hp, or gyrados.
Tyranitar does NOT want thunder at ALL. Sandstorm (tyranitar's ability) lowers thunder's accuracy to 50% or so. If you want an electric attack, definitely use thunderbolt. Or go with substitute (To prevent flinching with focus punch)
Emploleon doesn't need both surf and hydro pump, maybe even waterfall. Definitely get rid of hydro pump. Replace it with something that's not water typed. Ice beam is nice, even if tyranitar already has it. Emploeon is part steel, so you can switch into dragon types and ice beam. EQ is good for killing electric types, among other things.
Infernape. Stick with either special or physical sweeper...or if you use mixed, still use one move per element, and don't get stat boost attacks.
flamethrower>fire blast with Infernape, its defense is too low. If it misses, it'll likely die, especially if you have used close combat.
Fearow: Ewwwww! ditch that pos before someone sees you with it. zomgzomgzomgs
Palkia, change out...
You might want to put in some walls.

Alakazam w/ Wide lens
Focus Blast => Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice(?), Dark
Energy Ball => Water, Ground, Rock
Psychic(STAB) => Poison, Ground, anything else?
Shadowball => Dark, Ghost, Psychic(slower than you), anything else
That's the set I use.
Wide lens helps you with focus blast a lot.
It helps to take down T-tars with sandstorm.

Oh and Stone edge is a nice TTAR attack
at 403 ATK Power
Stone edges 100 base power with stab is 150 base, with possibility of criticals
it's possibly T-tars better move.

bashmo

kk im not ditching fearow dude, lol i love fearow. Im thinking of using snorlax as a wall.
|
bashmo
|
i dont even have stone edge where to get?
|
HungryHungryHippo

Move tutor is at the city all the way to the left...with the boats.....its the first(?) building under the pokemon center
|
bashmo
|
city to the left??? canalave?
|
Phatkav
|
Yes, that city.
Fearow vs Staraptor
Fearow Base Stats
HP - 65
Attack - 90
Defense - 65
Sp. Attack - 61
Sp. Defense - 61
Speed - 100
Staraptor Base Stats
HP - 85
Attack - 120
Defense - 70
SP. Attack - 50
Sp. Defense - 50
Speed - 100
With Staraptor's Intimidate ability and much better moves, I don't know why you are still using Fearow.
Heck, eve the stats suggest using Staraptor over Fearow.

Good Choice but guess what a Staraptor's Close Combat owns Snorlax which is why Staraptor is strong
|
Phatkav
|
While Fearow on the other will struggle to kill it as it lack a strong STAB (Same Type Attack Boost) move to kill Snorlax.
One more reason to replace Fearow with Staraptor.

Falkien

GAME.............SET....................MATCH
HERE IS YOUR WINNER STARAPTOR!!
|
bashmo
|
i see. So im alittle lazy to get a staraptor. What about in terms of stats?? Fearows has low attacks, and not much STAB. And staraptor learns close combat?
|
bashmo
|
anyways ive got a brand new team that has totally changed within the time period between and my previous post.
