FMA, Anime or MangaOk, so I have watched like the first couple of episodes of FMA and read about 9 volumes (I don't remember [mod edit] from volume 3-6).
Now, I have two options, read the manga all over again to understand some of the important stuff that I missed or watch the anime.
Now to my understanding, the manga is still running and the anime has ended. And according to wikipedia, the manga and the anime have different antagonists (I think).
So what should I do first, watch the anime and finish it?Or read the manga and finish it?

well me gave you a giant explanation on msn so no need ot repeat myself....anime is prioritie for now...then manga XD and yes they do have completely different storylines....(though vary similar idea and characters...)

lol now I got addicted to the manga...it has a better stroyline overall...but hte anime has ended and is more satisfying for now...(also the manga is 40 pages or so each chapter and it has for now 81 chapters...and still releasing so it's long...)and the manga antagonist is way cooler/stronger

Well I'm at Volume 9, (about half of volumes 1-8 is forgotten by me).
Gonna start watching the anime when I get time.

I never said it wasn't good...it was actually one of the best..just saying the manga is better storyline wise but for now the wiser choice is watching the anime since it's awesome.//

I watched the first 9 episodes of the series.
I'm planning to finish watching all episodes before May so I can start reading the manga from Volume 1.

The Manga is awesome...but the anime is more superior in my eyes. One of the best animes IMO.

you barely read it..so you can't judge...the anime just annoyed me in the ending and the main antagonist was LAME(you don't even know the main antagonist of the fma manga since you didn't even reach that part lol   )

At episode 41.
Really awesome series so far. It's really different from the manga. Like how Greed dies. I recall that King Bradley kills him in the manga but apparently in the anime, it's Ed who does it.
And no spoils until I say so

um in the manga thier's also some major characters left out og the anime like major armstrong(the muscle guy's sister is a big general baide in the manga..)ling(funny guy....also becomes a recarnation of greed and fights for dominance...)and you are at the scar fight right?that's one of the best parts of the series..

I finished watching the whole series.
Time to watch the movie today so then I can start reading the manga from chapter 1.
