Killzone 2 slips into 2009Those hoping to get hold of Killzone 2 this Christmas will have to hold out a bit longer, after Sony revealed that the game won’t be making it out until February next year. The news came at Sony’s PlayStation Day event, where Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves announced that the sequel would be released in February next year.
The game had previously been pencilled in for a late 2008 release.
Understandably, this will be a bit of a disappointment for PS3 fans. Quite asides from the fact that the original had proven popular on the PS2, the stunning footage of the game that’s been show so far has already generated a ludicrous amount of hype on its own.
That said, if Guerrilla Games feels it needs a bit more time to ensure the gameplay is of the same standard as the visuals, then it’s probably for the best. And besides, the delay is relatively small – a mere couple of months – anyway.

Well many other games coming out for sony this year getting killzone 2 delayed will at least make releases consistent ad generate more revenue in the end(it's like someone choosing should I but resistance 2 or killzone....instead they buy resistance 2 then a while after that also buy killzone..)that's where the wii was in a hurry all the best releases got released fast(metroid,mario kart,mario galaxy,super smash brawls,paper mario,resident evil 4....etc...)

never cared for the game.
ANd beside releasing the game this christmas with Gears of War 2 is just suicide.

I don't know the highly destructable environments are awesome....^_^and gears of war has nothing to do with it unless someone is both a ps3 and a 360 owner..(they aren't even the same game type...first person and third person...)

Gears of War 2 wil have more media coverage because 360 has more market share.

oh ok that makes sense^_^well I guess it will have no competition on the media...all the good ps3 games coming after and before christmas...

I wonder what Nintendo has to counter Gears of War 2. Right now, I'm thinking of Wii Sports 2.

Killzone 2 might just be forgotten about by then...I hope it gets the attention it deserves (well only if the game is good).

Well it will be released in February. The GeoW 2 hype should have died down by then.
