Medal Of Honor goes Modern Warfare?

In a huge stretch to actually do something that no other game developer has done before them and better than them. EA is taking Medal Of Honor into modern warfare by the looks of things with codename: "Medal of Honor: Operation Anaconda". The lack of originality from the start is a problem. COD4 is a tough one to beat. Maybe they should aim to better COD:World At War instead of trying to beat game of the year.. anyway.. I can't read french so I cant work out how legit the article in question really is but here's CVG's take on it:

Quote:
EA's Medal of Honor series is about to do a Call of Duty 4 and move into a modern day war setting.

That's according to a report on French site Jeux Video, which claims to have discovered the first info on Medal of Honor: Operation Anaconda in an EA questionnaire.

Operation Anaconda will be set in Afghanistan in 2002, says Jeux Video, where the real-life mission of the same name took place. At least it's not World War II.

The operation was apparently one of the "greatest disasters of modern history," ending with crashed helicopter and crew stranded in the Taliban-filled Afghan mountains.

According to the report, Operation Anaconda will put you in the role of multiple soldiers, including those involved in mortar and drone attacks, as well as snipers on the front line.

The report also promises "60 customisable weapons" for Anaconda, which sounds like an awful lot to us.

It all sounds believable enough, but unfortunately EA's UK office isn't answering the phone to give us it's "no comment" on the news. We'll let you know when or if it goes official.

This is gonna be horrible. The whole operation took place in a valley. So basically you will be landing in the middle of the valley surrounded by hundreds of Taliban soldiers firing at you. Then you will just push your way through. So basically, it's gonna be deserts, deserts, deserts, and more deserts.

Not many desert games though Very Happy. I don't like this idea either though :S
Phatkav

But you can't really do much in a desert. You just run in wide open battlefields and hide behind rocks. Plus maybe some little buildings scattered around.

I'm betting the game will suck.
Badie05

You never know. This could be a fake for all we know.
Phatkav

BTW if you want desert games play Conflict: Desert Storm and Conflict: Desert Storm 2. The setting is in Kuwait and Iraq (I think). So yeah deserty enough. I played both of them, they are really fun.

Ok THOSE games sucked. WHen I saud not a lot of desert games I meant not a lot of GOOD DESERT GAMES.
Phatkav

Hey, they weren't that bad. They were still fun giving out orders to your teammates or shooting them down.

America Army is kinda a desert game right?
HungryHungryHippo

Kav makes a cameo in this game ;P

But seriously, if the whole game only has 2 landscapes (desert and mountain) it kinda sounds boring..
