New info out on Wii-bound Resident Evil gamesResident Evil and Nintendo have made a pretty good pair in the past, so the bar has been set quite high for two titles soon to be released for the Wii under Capcom's Resident Evil label. A recent issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals more info regarding these two upcoming games.
The first is Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, which has been so far classified as a rail shooter much in the same vein as Sega's House of the Dead series. But longtime fans of the Resident Evil series might be more interested in the game's story than how it plays, as it will show, once and for all, how the Umbrella Corporation meets its end.
Preliminary gameplay footage can be found on this brand new teaser trailer on Capcom's official Japanese site.
The other game is much less of a surprise, but still a heavily awaited game nonetheless. Essentially a port of Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, this updated version contains all of the same features found on the previously released PS2 version, with the addition of a few Wii-exclusive extras, such as the ability to use the Wii controller to actively participate in knife fights.
No word on specific release dates for either title, but Capcom has previously announced that Umbrella Chronicles will be completed and released before the end of 2007.

Most fans are mad because Umbrella Chronicles is a rail shooter, but who cares, it's Resident Evil. Anyway I'm mostly excited for RE4 port just because I didn't play the one on Gamecube.

I played the gamcube and PS2 versions.Just waiting to see what it will be like on the PC!

i beat the game for the ps2 version(at Darimi's house lol) they should also put resident evil 5 on the wii that's coming out on the ps3.

They can't put Resident Evil 5 on the Wii. The Wii's hardware can't handle Resident Evil. Now they may make the game, but it will most likely have crappy graphics.
