First, Marcus is clearly still the protagonist. Duh. But also, we can hear Dom's voice in the background, pleading with Marcus to find his wife if he doesn't survive the upcoming battle.

Is this dialogue meaningless, meant only for dramatic effect, or is it a piece of the sequel's storyline? Could Dom actually be killed and replaced with a new coop partner? We doubt it... but we also doubt the script of this teaser is accidental. Expect a grimmer, darker follow up. Marcus mentions death multiple times and one panicked grunt screams, "Oh no, they're all dead! They're all dead, Sarge!"

The gruesome chainsaw battle between Marcus and a Locust also hints at what we might experience in the actual game. A big complaint about the original Gears was the randomness of the chainsaw. When you went at a baddie or multiplayer opponent, the odds of your saw beating the other guy's saw seemed completely arbitrary and, thus, grew increasingly frustrating. We hope such clashes will now result in dueling minigames, complete with counter attacks and finishing moves (like the blade to the back shown in the teas

ahh no suprise here everyone was expecting a sequel..(althouhg using the shirt form /GOW 2....makes me think of god of war>..>)and I hope the chainsaw mechanics work this time(and that it isn't laggy on the comp>.<like last time..|)

As far as I remember the short form for Gears of War was different from Gods of War. I remember that people in Gamespot added an extra letter that made it different. I think it was like GeOW. I have to check for it.

Resistance Fall of Man is a terrible, terrible game. I played it once and that was enough torture for me. But I won't go on a spiel about it. xD

Gears of War 2! =] The chainsaw attacks in the first game sucked hardcore. But my favourite aspect was how good the AI were. They weren't ACTUALLY stupid. For once. The sequel better be good, I hope it's not like a Halo where the first game was great and then they totally demolished the second.

No, Resistance did not rock... It was a lame attempt to make a game similar in design to Halo, that's my opinion anyway. I played the game for a bit too so I'm not saying it just "looks crappy".

Graphics are amazing...single player is amazing...lots of ppl can play MP but multilayer DOES suck...no argument there...this is coming from someone who's played the game through once then again in super human mode and lots of MP. Halo is still better

IMO once again, I didn't think the graphics were too "breath-taking".
But, GoW2 will be amazing. It'll make Halo3 look bad. Heck, GoW already makes Halo3 look bad. lol

I played it on 360 (used to even own it :O...until Microsoft became evil and killed my Jessica (my 360s name)....I was heart broken. Anyway this trailer is gonna have GAMEPLAY...It better look scarier and cooler..and no more Chainsaw abusers...I hear theres gonna be chainsaw standoffs and duels

It better be good... sequels to games usually arent as good, take Halo for instance. But the way they left of Gears of War, made it possible for a "heroic" Gears of War too. (lol... I don't think heroic has the same ring as epic...new synonym is required.)

Well in the 360 version the Brumak was in trailers and could not be fought except on the PC version...now it's just a random enemy...I wonder what the bosses are like like...I like the bright new graphics and the blue iron sights on the Lancer (rifle with bayonet)
