Peter Jackson Making a Halo GameTHE VOLE HAS CONFIRMED that it is staffing up its game development studios to work on a new Halo game, being helmed by Peter 'Lord of the Rings' Jackson.
Although Bungie, Halo's creator, parted ways with Microsoft last year, the Vole still owns plenty of rights to publish new games and is keen to get cracking on them. After working with Jackson on the apparently-aborted Halo movie, Jackson was still keen to get involved in the Master Chief's universe and is producing a couple of as-yet-unannounced titles.
Bungie will have a consulting role in the games to keep things on track, and we anticipate that Jackson will do much of the writing. Of the story that is, not the code.
Look for the new Halo titles, er, at some point in the future. Definitely.
No movie, but new game.
