The Independent published a story, which included a list of the "The bestselling games franchises." Here's the list:

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: Box Art Revealed!!!

Nintendo revealed the box arts for Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl (as seen above). The box arts for the games are identical to the Japanese version (the only difference is the English text used instead of Japanese). It's revealed that the English names of the two legendaries are the same as the Japanese names.

The official Pokemon site was also updated with new information on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl:

Team Galactic! Meet the new villains in the game, What evil will they bring to the land of Sinnoh. Are they out to capture the legendary pokemon in the new region. First Team Rocket, Then Team Magma/Aqua now the newest villians Team Galactic will they be successful to complete there goals!

New Technology??

A new Pokemon watch-type gadget - the Poketch - lets you access different functions on your touch screen!

I will find more information on this gadget and other features for the games.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire

This game stands up for the Pokemon name! Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire have many improvements to the previous games. For one thing, the graphics for these games are great compared to all other Pokemon games. To prove this, once you start the game, you automaticlly see the great graphics of the houses, the people, as well as the surroundings.

Another big improvement is the modified battle screens. Once you start a battle the terrain you were walking on marquees across the screen. Then when you throw your pokeball the screen fills up with a wonderful lighting effect. Modified battle scenes (very nice)
New battle menu item: BATSUGU? (Japanese)
Changed look for Pokemon Center, Mart.
Realistic fog in the caves.
Weather Effects (Extremely Advanced)
New Pokemon Characteristics (like TCG Pokemon Power)
Secret Base
Team Aqua and Magma

Ruby & Sapphire: Elite Four Guide

The Elite Four battles are probably the hardest part of these games here are some hints what you can be prepared for.

Ruby & Sapphire: Elite Four Guide

Legend:
@ ? = Item that Pokemon is holding
Lv ? = Pokemon's Level
~? = Characteristic
-? = Attack

Sidney 1. Mightyena
Lv 46 Male @ None
~Intimidate
-Sand Attack
-Take Down
-Roar
-Crunch 2. Shiftry
Lv 48 Male @ None
~Chlorophyll
-Fake Out
-Extra Sensory
-Double Team
-Swagger
3. Cacturne
Lv 46 Male @ None
~Sand Veil
-Cotton Spore
-Faint Attack
-Leech Seed
-Needle Arm 4. Sharpedo
Lv 48 Male @ None
~Rough Skin
-Surf
-Swagger
-Slash
-Crunch 5. Absol
Lv 49 Male @ Sitrus Berry
~Pressure
-Snatch
-Slash
-Swords Dance
-Aerial Ace

Use a Fighting attack to defeat Sidney. If you use a fighting Pokemon for him, watch out for Shiftry's Extrasensory and Absol's Aerial Ace. Fire back-up could take out Shiftry.

Phoebe 1. Dusclops
Lv 48 Female @ None
~Pressure
-Confuse Ray
-Curse
-Future Sight
-Shadow Punch 2. Banette
Lv 49 Female @ None
~Insomnia
-Faint Attack
-Spite
-Will-o-Wisp
-Shadow Ball
3. Sableye
Lv 50 Female @ None
~Keen Eye
-Shadow Ball
-Attract
-Psychic
-Faint Attack 4. Banette
Lv 49 Female @ None
~Insomnia
-Shadow Ball
-Psychic
-Toxic
-Skill Swap 5. Dusclops
Lv 51 Female @ Sitrus Berry
~Pressure
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Shadow Ball
-Confuse Ray

Since all of Phoebe's Pokemon are Ghost, with the exeption of Sableye (Dark/ghost). Use a Dark move to get through Phoebe. I would suggest Bite or Crunch.

Glacia 1. Glalie
Lv 50 Female @ None
~Inner Focus
-Ice Beam
-Hail
-Crunch
-Light Screen 2. Sealeo
Lv 50 Female @ None
~Thick Fat
-Surf
-Ice Ball
-Body Slam
-Hail
3. Sealeo
Lv 52 Female @ None
~Thick Fat
-Blizzard
-Attract
-Hail
-Dive 4. Glalie
Lv 52 Female @ None
~Inner Focus
-Ice Beam
-Shadow Ball
-Crunch
-Hail 5. Walrein
Lv 53 Female @ Sitrus Berry
~Thick Fat
-Blizzard
-Surf
-Sheer Cold
-Body Slam

Fire will take down Glacia, except for the two Sealeos and Walrein (Ice and Water). Fighting also does well against Ice, so you may want to use Fighting against the three Ice/Water Pokemon.

Drake 1. Shelgon
Lv 52 Male @ None
~Rock Head
-Rock Tomb
-Dragon Claw
-Crunch
-Protect 2. Altaria
Lv 54 Male @ None
~Natural Cure
-Dragon Dance
-Take Down
-Dragonbreath
-Refresh
3. Flygon
Lv 53 Male @ None
~Levitate
-Dragonbreath
-Dig
-Sandstorm
-Fly 4. Flygon
Lv 53 Male @ None
~Levitate
-Flamethrower
-Dragonbreath
-Sand-Attack
-Crunch 5. Salamence
Lv 55 Female @ Sitrus Berry
~Intimidate
-Dragon Claw
-Crunch
-Flamethrower
-Fly

All of Drake's Pokemon are at least part Dragon. Ice does best against Dragon compared to all other types. You could use other dragon Pokemon, but since Dragons are weak against Dragons, you will be at an advantage too.

Champion Steven 1. Skarmory
Lv 57 Male @ None
~Keen Eye
-Aerial Ace
-Toxic
-Steel Wing
-Spikes 2. Claydol
Lv 55 (No Gender) @ None
~Levitate
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Ancient Power
-Earthquake
3. Aggron
Lv 56 Male @ None
~Sturdy
-Earthquake
-Thunder
-Dragon Claw
-Solar Beam 4. Cradily
Lv 56 Male @ None
~Suction Cups
-Sludge Bomb
-Giga Drain
-Ancient Power
-Confuse Ray 5. Armaldo
Lv 56 Male @ None
~Battle Armor
-Ancient Power
-Aerial Ace
-Slash
-Water Pulse
6. Metagross
Lv 56 (No Gender) @ Sitrus Berry
~Clear Body
-Psychic
-Meteor Smash
-Hyper Beam
-Earthquake

Steven has many different types of Pokemon, not just Dark, not just Dragon, etc. Any of the Pokemon that I previously suggested, should be good here. Fire, Water, Fighting

Pokemon Emerald: Double Battles

Pokemon Emerald: Double Battles

Just like in Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon Emerald will have double battles. In Emerald, though, double battles can be fought with two totally different trainers and you, or two of the same type of trainers and you like in RS. Below you can see how two trainers can spot you at the same time, and both will enter a double battle against you.

pokemon isn't all that bad i used to watch it, but you can't compare it to other anime it's way too repetitive(team rocket always comes loses every ep, except a few exceptions), it seems like it never ends, that way episodes lose their value, so it doesn't really matter if you skip a few. I only find it exciting a gym battles, and beauty contests, but i still watch it from time to time just for fun. (it's also drives me nuts how they always talk about friendship and always have a happy endings, which makes it meant for young kids)
