Rowling 'tempted' to write an 8th bookAuthor J.K. Rowling has given hope to millions of Harry Potter fans by hinting of plans to add an eighth book to the boy wizard franchise.
Rowling, who has been ranked third in Time magazine's Person of the Year list, brought the series to an end earlier this year with the release of the seventh novel, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
But the 42-year-old admits she is tempted to revisit the world of Hogwarts just one more time although the story may not be built around the title character.
She says, "There have been times since finishing, some weak moments, when I've said, 'Yeah, all right', to an eighth novel."
"But if - and it's a big if - I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt Harry would be the central character."

Harry potter is awesome bought all the books....@Mikebroekhof on the contrary the first books were kind of lame while #4,6 and 7 are awesome...it would be nice if a 8th book or the promised encyclepedia are released I'd buy them the next day...

The story isn't going to be centered around him and in the epilogue he isn't a teacher.....so he won't be a teacher....(probably an auror though it was never mentioned...)

In the epilogue, they only said he had like 5 children, married, etc.
Did they mention anything about his job?

well the students were going to hogwarts while he wasn't going and neville was aleady their as a teacher(teachers are always their befoe anyways...)and why would he become a teacher when the job he always wanted(since book four mentioned to book 6..)was an auror...

"re-reads last chapter..."actually it doesn't but he most probably is one since it's been his favored career.............as I said the epilogue was quite disappointing doesn't really mention much..this is all it says:
malfoy gets married and gets a son called scorpio.
harry marries ginny gets 3 kid(don't feel like writing names..)
ron gets married gets two kids.
neville is a teacher at hogwarts....>(at the only subject he's good at..)
harry's scar hasn't hurt for 19 years.
harry says spoiler was honourable(it's a bit major...)
tonks/lupins kid likes fleur's and bills daughter(he kissed her..)
and that's all I can think of from the back of my head....
