Here we are mid way through December 2008 and that means CES 2009 in early January is just around the corner. This year CEA changes the days CES runs from all weekdays as was typical in years past to a Thursday through Sunday arrangement. That means that readers will have to tune in on the weekend for information on the show as well. With the economy down this year's CES show may be missing some of the usually players as rumors swirl that some firms simply can't foot the bill for the high cost of CES 2009. Still, the show will be huge and important for the consumer electronics industry. What exactly we will see at CES 2009 is unknown, but today I am going to make a few predictions for what we will see at the show and mention a few things we already know will be there.

hopefully a [mod edit] new Starfox/Zelda/Mario/Kirby is announced for Wii.

If not, then im on my way to the PS3.

Wii isn't the next step in gaming.
Both 360 and PS3 are good quality next gens.

Bashmo, get a 360 for now. and In 4 years get a PS3 cause that's all Sony is good for these days. Promises of the future. M$ is all about today

i am not getting a 360 its hardware is gonna die soon, and wont be able to pull off what PS3 will.

Online is free, and its actually quite great from what ive seen. Blutooth support with Bluray, and 80 gig hardrive makes me want it even more. Oh and PS3's XMB interface is so sleek and cool. New xbox experience BTW is garbage.

And i dont wanna chat with 10 year olds over live o.O oh and can anyone say MGS4 + Resistance 2 + WarHawk + LBP?? This is where its at IMO. Ive played Gears and Halo, and they are old now.

Lastly, I will own online once i get COD5 with my PS3...Type 100 FTW!

I agree with Badie.. 360 is present and ps3 is future..

What future? PS3 is already great. IF you said this last year, I would agree, but this year the PS3 already competed with the 360 head on in terms of great games. The only thing 360 is beating the PS3 at right now is the sales. That's about it.

alright thats how it will be done. I really dont prefer the 360. i'd rather buy a PS3 now, and enjoy the decent lineup with Killzone 2 and GOW3 on the way, rather than play the 360 which will die soon.
