No you can't. 480p is unsupported and it will look like [mod edit]. Plus SD TVs don't even have Component/HDMI Connections. |
I didn't have the HDMI cable for a week and I could play on my TV. So I'm assuming the same thing works for movies.

Movies should give you an error as far as I know.
